CAN ITEMS LIKE MUGS, PLATES AND BOWLS BE USED TO EAT AND DRINK FROM?
Yes! Pottery items painted with ceramic glazes will be made food safe once they are fired in our kiln.
DO ALL ITEMS NEED TO BE TAKEN BACK TO THE STUDIO FOR FIRING?
No! We have hundreds of items that can be painted with acrylic paint that don't need to be fired in the kiln. When you're finished painting, a clear shiny or sparkly sealer will be applied to finish your piece. Once it's dry, it's done!
I'M DONE PAINTING MY POTTERY ITEM AT HOME. WHAT DO I DO NOW?
Since our hours are fluctuating due to the coronavirus, we're not at the studio during regular hours. Email us to let us know you're done and we'll let you know when you can drop it off
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PIECE TO BE READY AFTER I DROP IT OFF AT THE STUDIO TO BE FIRED
Typically we ask for 8 days for processing. If you need it sooner, please let us know and we'll see if there's a way to make it happen. Sometimes it's impossible because of the length of time for the glaze dipping and firing process, but many times we can have it done by your deadline. Just let us know!
